AA is like a ****, holding back the ocean of liquor. If we take one glass of liquor, it is like making a small hole in the ****, and once such a hole has been made, the whole ocean of alcohol may rush in upon us. By practicing the AA principles we keep the **** strong and in repair.
Meditation for the Day
I keep as close as I can to my Higher Power. I try to think, act, and live as though I am always in God's presence. Keeping close to a Power greater than myself is the solution to most of earth's problems. I try to practice the presence of God in the things I think and do. That is the secret of personal power.
So today I went to go meet Ric Flair, and what a day it was. For starts I had preorderd my tix and was 10th in line to pick them up. So I got my ticket and was told that the 8x10 would be $5, I at the time had no cash on me and had to run back and get some. So I got the cash and was going to go right back in until I was stopped and told I had to wait to go back in.
Long story short, I ended up waiting in the same line twice. I went from 10th in line to being like 60th. Anyway I got in and got to take a promo picture with Ric Flair and later got his autograph. It was a real well done event by PCW. No Rushing at all. I even got to talk the Ric Flair for a bit, I kept calling him Naitch for some reason and he must have found it cool because I was the only one he signed it "Naitch" Flair was a really cool guy, and was having a party which is probably going on now, at a bar with many many girls lol.

Now I have heard everything. A council has installed a wind turbine to power an ice cream kiosk and public bog!! Unfortunately, they have installed it in a position that is totally sheltered from the wind so, unsurprsilngly, it does not work. As the old cliche goes, you could not make it up!! I hate greenies!!
Recent coin-throwing incidents at Stamford Bridge and Villa Park, scuffles between Everton fans and stewards at the Emirates, it all seems to dispel the theory, by the more optimistic observers of the game, that hooliganism is dead.
With the advent of state-of-the-art stadia, the old excuse that 'if you treat people like animals they will act like animals' is no longer relevant. Gone are the days when supporters were herded into pens hemmed in by high fences. In fact, fans of clubs in the higher leagues not only have access to the best stadium facilities, but are looked after by a small army of stewards, backed up by police and high tech surveillance, making them among the safest in the world.
Not so in non-league football, which does not have the infrastructure, money, or resources to cope with even a small minority who are intent on causing mayhem. This worrying trend has been shown on numerous occasions over the last few months, where idiots, only content with knocking 12 bells out of each other, have caused clubs no end of headaches.
Only last week, in the Principality Welsh Premier League, there were running battles between around 50 fans before, during, and after Bangor's game with Rhyl. The trouble was so bad that a police helicopter had to be scrambled and Football Association of Wales chief John Deakin said that the option of playing games behind closed doors could not be ruled out.
York City have had their own problems. Fans were warned that their actions could lead to the club suffering heavy fines or point deductions if behaviour doesn't improve. A minority of supporters have caused damage at several away grounds this season costing the club nearly a £1000 in repairs.
Stories of casual violence in the lower leagues are never hard to find. Even the magic of the FA Cup is not exempt. A mass half-time brawl erupted at Blue Square North's Alfreton Town 4-2 win over Bury Town. Police were called when a heated exchange between rival supporters in the clubhouse, descended into furniture throwing. While in the Blue Square South, Weston-Super-Mare's encounter with Basingstoke saw Weston's French defender Cedric Abraham allegedly struck by a supporter.
For clubs plagued by troublemakers the consequences could be dire. Some have already had to cut staff and players' wages in order to survive the economic downturn. Additional financial penalties could be a final nail in the coffin. The unsavoury elements to any club's fan base, unless dealt with swiftly and sharply, is a sure way to drive away the law-abiding grassroots support that is the lifeline for many of these football clubs. That would be the biggest travesty of all.

Australian Music True Tales: the exiled outbursts of our man in Australia Rock critic Everett True has relocated to Brisbane and, in his first weekly blog, he explains why he's not happy with the local music press Australians don't have much respect for the music press - it runs counter to their culture. Australian rock is all about "Good on ya, mate - well done for getting up on stage and switching that amplifier on". The idea of anyone actually daring to criticise musicians for the sound they make is almost heresy. Everyone is treated equally, which means no knocking anyone back, however great the temptation. (That'll be why Australian rock is best known to the outside world for such musical abominations as Silverchair, the Vines and Savage Garden.) Sport is the predominant culture here, and music is similarly viewed as a leisure activity - it's all about "work rate", "dedication" and "goals scored". Unsurprisingly, Australians get the music press they deserve. http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/musicblog/2008/aug/06/truetales
Historical Music venue Celebrating a passion for the espy This month, the Espy, as it's famously known, has been basking in the celebration of a mighty anniversary: 130 years serving punters from its perch on the hill overlooking St Kilda beach. Hundreds of bands have played there throughout the month-long birthday celebrations, which culminate next weekend with a huge line-up of acts over two days. http://www.theage.com.au/national/celebrating-a-passion-for-the-espy-20081123-6eu8.html
Review Australia the Movie It has every Australian cliché you could hope for, from kangaroos and Nicole Kidman to aborigines going walkabout and, yep, Waltzing Matilda. There is even, within moments of the opening scenes, Rolf Harris's wobble board. But Baz Luhrmann's long-awaited, and over-budget epic Australia manages, against the odds, to avoid turning into one big sunburnt stereotype about Godzone country. Instead, in what turns out to be a multi-layered story it describes an Australia of the 1940s that is at once compellingly, beautiful and breathtakingly cruel. http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/film/article5178513.ece
Recent documentary release of Sir John Monash "Monash The Forgotten ANZAC" reminds all of his importance in development of Australian character including innovation, individuality, equality and responsibility. However, Australian political (and other) leaders, both left and right, seem to have been promoting the opposite in recent years, in the name of Australian values. Targetting those of non Anglo/Celtic background, like Monash whose family was Prussian Jewish, as not being Australian, adhoc approaches to issues and evading accountability (for encouraging jingoistic and racially based nationalism), not very Australian.... http://www.abc.net.au/tv/documentaries/interactive/monash/
"not lip service, nor obsequious homage to superiors, nor servile observance of forms and customs...the Australian army is proof that individualism is the best and not the worst foundation upon which to build up collective discipline" General John Monash
More praise came from British Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery who said of Monash: "I would name Sir John Monash as the best general on the western front in Europe".
Socceroos steal World Cup qualification win in Bahrain THE Socceroos stole an amazing and clearly undeserved 1-0 win over Bahrain overnight to move into a commanding position for World Cup qualification. A goal to Palermo midfielder Mark Bresciano in the dying seconds sealed three points for Australia despite the away team being completely outplayed by the enthusiastic home side throughout the match. Pim Verbeek's men had barely threatened to score all match in a disjointed performance that reflected the hurried preparations for the game which was sandwiched between European club fixtures. http://article.wn.com/view/2008/11/19/Socceroos_steal_World_Cup_qualification_win_in_Bahrain
Australia and the credit crunch Digging for victory China's appetite for its minerals offers Australia some shelter from the storm. TWO straight railway lines run through the red desert of the Pilbara region, in Western Australia..... With the onset of the global financial crisis, the region is now proving crucial to whether Australia can defy the fate of other rich countries and avoid a recession. China is now Australia's biggest trading partner; it buys 40% of the Pilbara's iron ore. A few months ago, this seemed enough to protect Australia from the storms buffeting the world economy. ......central bank delivered a bleaker prognosis. It forecast annual growth falling to just 1.5%.......So China's stimulus this week, inspiring visions of more iron ore needed for steel to build housing and infrastructure, has brought fresh hopes that the Pilbara once again will be the lucky country's saviour. http://www.economist.com/displaystory.cfm?story_id=12601916
Property price fall worst in 25 years THE once booming Perth property market has recorded its third consecutive quarterly fall in the median house price - a phenomenon not seen in 25 years - as talk of a recession eats into consumer confidence. Real Estate Institute of Western Australia president Rob Druitt said the Perth market was moving into uncharted territory with a combination of falling house prices and dwindling sales. He predicted that a fourth consecutive fall was likely before the market began to recover. http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,24694710-2702,00.html
Water in Australia - The dry last ditch - A controversial plan to save Australia's largest river system. AFTER 17 years, Tony and Michelle McManus are preparing for their last sheep-shearing season on Toorale, a sprawling outback property near Bourke in western New South Wales (NSW). By Christmas, Toorale's 30,000 sheep, 1,200 cattle and irrigation machinery will all be sold, ending a way of life on the ranch begun by the region's European pioneers in the 1870s. Last month Australia's federal and NSW state governments bought Toorale for almost A$24m ($17m), not to run it as a farm but to take control of a commodity that now seems more precious than the food and fibre it produces: water......On a national scale, the battle between keeping Toorale's land and water in the market, or devoting them to the environment, could set a standard for changing the way outback lands are used, almost 150 years after white settlers turned sheep and cattle loose on them. Penny Wong, the federal minister for climate change and water, admits that little, if any, of Toorale' s water will reach the Murray's depleted mouth 1,000km south. But the Wentworth Group, a batch of water experts, gives her credit for trying to revive flows. It foresees an "unfolding environmental disaster" if water consumption in the Murray-Darling system is not cut by up to 53%. Peter Cosier, the group's convener, says: "We've reached a point where the water-buyback scheme is the only game left in town." http://www.economist.com/displayStory.cfm?story_id=12480905

Please note this is not a real story, it does not promote, nor condone any illegal activities it's just a story I wrote on a forum, and it involves a forum user as the main character of "Gippy" there's going to be a series of stories I am going to add.
There are so many stories floating around the internet about people and their affairs and I have a scandal I wish to report. I have heard that Gippy has found himself a woman, her name is Josephina and she apparently had long blonde hair, and nice eyes and a great body.
Gippy had never ever felt this way he would give her flowers, he would take her to movies and he was ready to make her his forever by getting down on one knee, but something happened. Something no one ever saw coming Gippy had found himself hidden away in a shed with someone else. Someone who was nameless, until Gippy screamed her name in a dream.
Gippy laid there and then started to sceam the name of Vanessa he jumped from his bed and ran outside but when he got there all he saw was the guy that saw Vanessa first and wanted her form the first moment he set eyes on her. Yes, Charles was in love with the girl he was a nerdy shy guy that had nothing more then bis brain and a random job working with computers. He wouldn't go near her he would never tell her what he felt.
But he felt that he was losing her, he felt that Venessa had found someone else, and he was right, she had found Gippy, and she had a thing for guys that were short so it was perfect, Gippy and Venssa were getting on well until one night....one night Charles caught them together and he was in a jealous rage and he took pulled out a weapon and he took the lives of Gippy and Vanessa that night.
Charles sat outside the house of Gippy after that and drank, he drank so much he passed out and he dropped the wiskey bottle on the ground and he drove off, he reached a lake tossed the gun away and that was the last we were to hear from Charles.
The next morning, a friend of Gippy's Brett, arrived at his house and knocked on the door there was no answer, he knocked again still no answer he turned the door knob and the door opened. He walked in, and he called out, no one answered him, he looked around and saw nothing but a mess Brett kept looking around until he got the bedroom and he saw it.
The bodies of Gippy and Vannessa laying dead in the bed, he ran out of the room and dialled 000 and the police were on the way Brett was freaking out he saw a mate and this girl dead in Gippy's bedroom!
Officer Micheal M. Morrison was the first to enter the house and exam the scene, he asked for Brett to leave the house and talk to his partner Officer Robert Kipp. While they were going over whast he had saw Officer Morrison was calling for forensic and for back up.
Before they could arrive Josephina arrived and saw the police around the house and she ran upto the house but she was stopped by Officer Michael M. Morrison who came walking back out, he told her that she didn't want to go in there that a man and a woman were in there dead. She was confused to why there was a woman dead in there as well, she was then told that Gippy was sleeping with some woman and they were both murdered.
The Crime Scene Investigators came and went with all the evidence they needed to track down the case, the coroner Robert Revera determined the deaths as being a single gunshot wound to the head for both, which if you were following this story you would have known that! The bottle that was found by Heather was tested and the DNA matched one Charles Rhoades who worked for the new compute company that was writing software for bigger companies, it was not the more glamorous job you’d say but he loved it.
Detective Oscar Clayton was the man that was given the responsibility to go and question Charles about the murders, he felt that he had again drawn the short straw, not being a computer person it was not a great experience he thought. But he would not be alone on this his partner Detective Chloe Bennett was going to be going along with him. AS they reached the computer place they took a look around and Oscar was not happy about the computerised doors, really? Computerised doors? Amazing stuff Oscar was slow and a bit hesitant to walk through the doors with his luck the doors would slam shut cutting him in two like you see in the movies.
Chloe told him to stop being a baby and just walk through the doors! She went through first to put his mind at ease, the doors opened and closed without incident, so Oscar finally got up the nerve and he went through the doors again with no incident. They showed their badges to the girl at the desk she buzzed them through to the other side and they found the desk of Charles.
Charles was surprised when someone approached his desk, even more surprised by the looks of the female officer he was close to drooling and by the time he awoke from his day dreams he was being asked his where abouts the night before by Oscar. Charles has no real good excuse for that he was nervous he was stuttering and all he could say was “I went to a bottle shop and I got some whiskey and just drank and drank, and drank until I could forget” Oscar looked at him “And what was it that you were forgetting, Charles?” the officer told him looking at the sweat starting to rolls down the braw of Charles.
“I was trying to forget Vanessa, I loved her, and she never loved me, and I heard she was seeing someone else and I just couldn’t deal with that” both detectives were picturing the whole story in their heads they now had a motive, well that is however if this was the killer they were sure it was. “After you got done drinking where did you end up?” Chloe curiously asked him he just looked at her, and started to quiver. “I-i-“ he was stuttering and there was no way he was going to put together a good lie to her and he was not going to, this pretty police officer seemed to be the one that could crack a desperate man. “I am not going to lie to you, I drove by Gippy’s house, I was told she was seeing him and I was drinking outside his house but that was it!”
But we know this is wrong, we know that Charles was the one that killed Gippy and the girl was with the woman that Charles wanted but this is not the first. You’re surprised? I’m not, Charles once killed Rose Gravois she was his wife at the time and she was cheating on him with the gardener Lucio Moretti but Lucio had dreamed of better things, a criminal record saw him only able to get a job as a slave to a man that made more money than him, and had a higher class of life. But that did not stop our friend Lucio getting himself the girl but in the end this was to be the end of him. There have been a few disappearances over the years, and the same common link kept popping up Charles he knew them and he was jealous of them Eugene Chiasson vanished one day only to be found in the Louisiana Bayou. Charles decided it was time for him to escape his old life and he moved to Australia and he ended up in the small town in South Australia where he met the lovely Vanessa and she was the woman of his dreams, but Charles would be the man of her nightmares, well if she knew what would happen that fateful Tuesday Morning, But let’s get back to our story shall we ?
The police of course did not believe Charles, how could you believe a man that was quievering and sweating like he was and was obviously hiding something? And it was not his awkwardness with women either, that’s a story for another time! Oscar wanted the truth “Cut the ****, Charles, we know you had ties to the victims, you loved Vanessa and you and Gippy never got along, not even when you of
